Blue Zone Rustic Retreats 2021

Now the worst of winter is over…

It seems many places in the northern hemisphere have been slammed with terrible winter weather this season, including here in Greece. Ikaria also had her fair share, with centimetres of snow fall and high winds that made it bitterly cold these last few days. The sun has tried to come out, only to be blanketed in the end by heavy rain, hail and snow, especially up in the higher mountain villages. These are the kind of days when I really look forward to the arrival of spring!

On that note, I would like to invite you to join us this summer on one of our Blue Zone Rustic Retreats. We will be immersing ourselves in the Ikarian philosophy of life and living – exploring how it is to live the Ikarian way when it comes to happiness, family values, food, wine, socialising, religion, and our attitudes towards aging and what it means to live with meaning. There are so many things I would like to share with you!

Our retreats are small and intimate which gives everyone who joins the opportunity to get to know each other well, making sure that every guest receives exactly what they need from the retreat. It is my goal that at the end of our time together you will be able to take some of Ikaria home with you and implement some of what you discover when you get back to your daily life!

By all accounts it looks like overseas travel will be possible again come this summer, and Greece is working hard on getting as many people vaccinated as possible. Here on Ikaria the majority of the older people have had their shot, with many of those in their fifties and sixties now being offered the vaccination. My husband had his first dose yesterday!

This summer, I’m also offering something special for the ladies! We will be hosting a “women only retreat” which is set to be great fun and a wonderful experience for those that join! If you or you have any friends that would be interested in visiting Ikaria, please let me know.

Below are the dates for this season, for more information please contact me directly at theaparikos@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you!!!
